The Education Council of the Nebraska Information Technology Commission is a 16-member advisory committee of the NITC composed of representatives from K-12 and PostSecondary education. The Council was originally formed by Executive Order 97-7 in November 1997 to identify, prioritize, and coordinate user needs with respect to educational information technology. The Education Council first met on March 12, 1998 and has conducted monthly or bimonthlymeetings since.
